Edda Closes Oversubscribed Funding Round to Revolutionise the Publishing Industry
Edda Pay has successfully closed the first funding round. This investment will fuel our mission to provide authors with real-time sales data and on-demand earnings, while empowering publishers with improved data and tools.

When we founded Edda, we set out to solve a deeply personal and systemic problem: authors having little to no transparency into their book sales and waiting up to 18 months for royalty payments while publishers struggle with lack of full sales insights and high-risk advances.
Today, we’re thrilled to announce a significant milestone on that journey—closing our first funding round, heavily oversubscribed! Goes without saying that this milestone is deeply meaningful to us, and we’re proud and thankful for the incredible support from our new investors Almi Invest, MPO Ventures (fintech profile Oscar Franzén, IT entrepreneurs Pål Junhamn and Mats Franzén), and business angels Margareta Andersson, Tina Kahm and Jonas Sjögren.
This funding and support by our investors brings us closer to our vision: a faster, fairer, and more flexible ecosystem for authors and publishers.
With Edda Pay, we’re introducing real-time sales insights for authors and publishers and a bit further down the line - on demand book earnings for authors.
💡 What’s next?
Our first paying customers will be onboarded during spring, offering Edda Pay as a beta to their authors. With additional publishers in the pipeline, this investment allows us to accelerate product rollout and prepare for a broader market launch later this year.
We’re incredibly excited for the journey ahead and grateful for the trust from our investors and partners.
If you’re a publisher looking to unlock better data and smarter tools to support your authors, we’d love to connect.
